Volunteer With The Coach Sarna League

Working professional stadium events together is our number one fundraiser every year. Every shift helps fund the scholarships behind our mission, that every child who wants to play gets that opportunity. We have awarded more than $450,000 in scholarships since 2021, and none of it happens without our families, friends, and supporters.

What every volunteer should know:

Volunteers must be 18 or older. No experience is needed, and you will always work alongside our league family. Plan to arrive about four hours before the event and stay through the end. Dress code is all black: black slacks, black shirt, and closed-toe shoes. Carpools run from our cities for most events.

After you fill out a signup form below, email Coach Ryan Sarna at thecoachsarnaleague@gmail.com and our Volunteer Coordinator, Antoinette Pallotta, at aitalia62@gmail.com. Antoinette will get you fully onboarded: a stadium virtual training video that takes about 10 minutes, a volunteer packet you sign electronically and send back, and for Giants games an Oracle Park background check.

Priority for events is always given to volunteers who hold an ABC license, the California alcohol server certification that lets you serve alcohol at our booths and is good for three years. We will send you the link to earn it through a short online course.

The Coach Sarna League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Ask us about workplace and team volunteer events. Questions: call or text 707-316-3029 or email thecoachsarnaleague@gmail.com.

Levi's Stadium and Stanford Athletics

Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, home of the San Francisco 49ers, is our flagship volunteer opportunity. Our crews staff concession stands at 49ers home games, FIFA World Cup matches, San Jose Earthquakes soccer, and major concerts from Ed Sheeran to AC/DC to Bruno Mars. For every volunteer who works an event, the stadium's concessions partner makes a donation to our league, which becomes scholarships and registration credit for our families.

We also work the Stanford University sports calendar in Palo Alto, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, and campus concerts. Stanford events are smaller and friendlier for first-time volunteers, with dates all year to build up your event count.

Events fill first-come, first-serve. The biggest events, such as the Super Bowl and the World Cup, are offered first to volunteers who have worked the most events and who hold an ABC alcohol service certificate. We help every new volunteer complete the required stadium training and the ABC course.

San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park

Our newest venue. Volunteers work the concession and beer booths at Giants home games on the waterfront in San Francisco, with the same fundraising model as our other stadium events: every shift earns money for the league and credit for your player.

A few Giants specifics: the Giants require each volunteer's full name and home address for stadium credentialing, and serving alcohol requires an ABC certificate, which you can earn through a short online course we point you to. Fill out the interest form and we will reach out as game dates are assigned.
