5th Annual Crab Feed Fundraiser and Coach Sarna's 40th Birthday

The Crab Feed is the fundraiser that has anchored this league since our earliest years, and this one is our biggest night yet. Fresh crab, pasta, salad and bread, an opportunity drawing, a silent auction, a DJ and dancing, and a birthday toast for the Coach. Every ticket and every sponsorship funds a registration scholarship for a local child. Since 2021 we have given more than $630,000 in scholarships so that no child is turned away from a season for money.
Tickets are $75 per guest. Bring your team and reserve a table of 8 for $600. We sell tickets through Zeffy, so 100 percent of every purchase goes to our mission. Tickets are held at will call under your name.

Sponsorships, golf tournament style. Every table-level sponsor receives a league gift basket, and every sponsorship of $1,000 or more includes four seats.
Presenting Sponsor, $10,000, one available: two premier tables and the night presented in your name.
Dungeness Sponsor, $5,000, four available: a premier table of 8 plus four seats, with your logo on the crab cleaning utensils at every table.
Table Sponsor, $2,000: a reserved table of 8 with your sign on the table.

Our events bring the community together and fund the scholarships that keep every child on the field. From a weekend family getaway to a vineyard fundraiser to a service trip in Mexico, here is what we gather for through the year.
Summer Barbecue in the Vineyards
Our inaugural Summer Vineyard BBQ was held Saturday, August 8, 2026 at ACTA Wine in Healdsburg, with 49ers pit master Chuck Matto on the smoker, ACTA wines, live music, and live and silent auctions. Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame
The Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame is hosted by The Coach Sarna League and Vallejo PAL. The 20th annual ceremony was held Saturday, September 26, 2026. The evening honors Vallejo athletes, coaches, and volunteers for what they achieved in their careers, and every dollar raised goes to youth sports scholarships that keep local kids in the game.

The Mike Sweatfield Legacy Fund. Mike Sweatfield was inducted into the Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame and believed in the mission of this league. At his family's request, gifts in his memory go to the Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame in place of flowers. Every dollar given to the fund supports the Hall of Fame and the scholarships it pays for. Great Wolf Lodge Family Getaway
Every June the league takes over Great Wolf Lodge for a family getaway. It is a weekend away with the same families you spend your Saturdays and Sundays with on the sideline, and a chance to be together off the field. Open to the whole league community. The 2027 dates will be posted here.
Annual Service Trip to Mexico
Every summer we run a volunteer service trip to an orphanage in Mexico, open to the entire league community. We go to serve, because the lessons we teach on the field are only worth anything if they show up off it. If you would like to take part, email thecoachsarnaleague@gmail.com.
